Dr. Jim Androutsopoulos
Dental surgeon
- BDSc (Hons) Melb, BSc, Dip OHT
Jim's career in dentistry started in the year 2000. His clinical experience has included working at the Royal Melbourne Children's Hospital, the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne as well as private practice. Jim has also been involved in tertiary education as a lecturer and clinical demonstrator at the University of Melbourne Dental school. Professionally Jim has had appointments with the Victorian Dental Board Advisory committee as well as the RMIT steering committee.
With the establishment of The Tooth Doctor, Jim's focus is for patients to keep their teeth for life and prevent future dental problems arising through education and awareness. He enjoys treating patients of all ages and aims to provide gentle dental care in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Jim's interest in continuing education ensures that you will receive the most current information and treatment options available.
Outside of work hours, Jim enjoys spending time with his family which includes his two young boys.
Vicky
Practice Co-ordinator
Vicky has a background in chiropractic, running her own successful business over a ten year period. Vicky greatly enjoyed getting to know her patients and their families as well as the technical aspect of running a health clinic. This new challenge, as a practice co-ordinator, seemed like a natural progression after becoming a mum and combines her enjoyment of running a business and developing relationships.
Isabella Duhau
Front office/dental assistant
A Qualified dental assistant who enjoys the job, the establishment and learning. Isabella strives to make each patient feel comfortable and welcomed here. She believes there is more happiness in giving than in receiving.
Isabella’s favourite question is “What time is lunch?” at 8am start. Despite Lunch being her favourite part of the day, she does take pride in hard work, a genuine interest toward people and training upcoming dental assistants.
Isabella says – “working here at the tooth doctor has been most enjoyable and I completely feel valued here. Working beside Jim and Vicky is a pleasure, my time here is filled with laughter, respect and coffee.”
